Each Cottage has a fireplace, which guests can enjoy on chillier days. All cottages are slightly different and have a mountain or sea view and their own sitting area outside.Daily cleaning service is provided. This does not include doing the dishes.If you don't feel like cooking, breakfast can be taken at the main house and dinner at the restaurant. The rooms in the anexe have wonderful views over the vineyard to the sea, and a private sitting area outside.The rooms are uniquely decorated and they each have a large double bed or 2 single beds and an en-suite bathroom with a walk in shower.Bath towels, pool towels, bathrobes, hairdryer and amenities are provided.There is no TV.All rooms have air conditioning.There is a small safe to keep your valuables.All rooms have free broad band internet.Free parking is available on site, subject to availability.A buffet breakfast is served in the dining room and can also be taken in the garden looking out to sea!Casa Rosa (2 Adults + 1 Child) Casa Rosa is situated on the right hand side as you drive to the main house and is slightly larger than the other cottages.It has one bedroom, a bathroom with a walk in shower, and an open plan Kitchenette next to the dining area, and sitting room, all on one floor. Read MoreAt Quinta das Vinhas we are committed to giving our guests a memorable experience. Our dedicated team works with smiles, ensuring our guests are well cared for.
Quinta das Vinhas was born from our wish to preserve family heritage, and to let others experience staying in a Madeira farmhouse.
So in 1997 we completed the restoration of the Main House, and received our first guests. The cottages were then built to provide larger rooms for guests who stay for longer visits.
Later on, another cottage was restored an the building at the top of the vineyard was converted into a restaurant where you can have dinner and sample a large selection of table wines produced on the island, while enjoying the view of the vineyard all the way down to the sea.
For many years the land was leased to the Madeira Wine Institute for an experimental vineyard. Thanks to their work we now have a unique living library with over 70 different grape varieties both for winemaking and for eating. Since 2018, Quinta das Vinhas has been managing the vineyard and converting it to organic, following biodynamic principles.
Quinta das Vinhas has a strong commitment to preserving the island's heritage whilst upholding a strong environmental policy.
